“The Lord was with him; He showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.”
Joseph’s story teaches that God’s presence is not limited to pleasant places. Scripture shows him in a prison—falsely accused, forgotten, confined. Yet God was with him.
Favor followed him because God’s presence remained. A man becomes steady when he learns that God’s companionship is not measured by circumstances. Prisons do not prevent purpose.
Joseph carried integrity into every environment, and God honored it. Even in confinement Joseph served faithfully, and favor grew. God shapes men in hidden places, preparing them for influence they cannot yet see.
Joseph’s rise began in a pit, continued in a prison, and culminated in a palace. A man becomes transformed when he trusts that God is present even when nothing feels fair.
Father, remind me that Your presence is with me in every season. Strengthen my integrity in difficult places. Let Your favor rest on my life as I trust You.
