“Speak for Your servant is listening.”
1 Samuel 3:10 NIV
Samuel responded to God’s call with a posture of surrender. Scripture reveals that hearing God begins with willingness to listen. Samuel did not yet know everything about God, but he offered obedience.
A man becomes receptive when he positions his heart to listen before he speaks. 1 Samuel teaches that God speaks to those who are attentive, humble, and available. A man learns that listening requires silence, patience, and openness. God calls.
The servant listens. Transformation follows.
Father, speak to me and give me ears to listen. Quiet my heart so I may hear Your voice. Make me attentive to Your leading.
