“Thus far the Lord has helped us.”
1 Samuel 7:12 NIV
Samuel raised a stone of remembrance called Ebenezer. Scripture reveals that marking God’s help strengthens future faith. Israel had been delivered from their enemies, and Samuel acknowledged God’s intervention.
A man becomes grounded when he remembers how far God has brought him. 1 Samuel teaches that gratitude guards against doubt. A man learns that remembering God’s faithfulness prepares him for tomorrow’s battles. God has helped thus far, and He will continue.
Memory becomes a weapon against fear.
Father, help me remember how far You have brought me. Strengthen my trust for the future. Fill my heart with gratitude for Your help.
