EPISODE 26CURIOSITY

FOLLOWING JESUS VS. INHERITED FAITH

Are You Following Jesus, or Just a Tradition?

THUMBNAIL HOOK WHO TAUGHT YOU THAT?
OPENING HOOK
Some beliefs feel biblical simply because we heard them before we learned how to examine them.
CENTRAL DOCTRINE

Personal faith tested by Scripture rather than unexamined inheritance.

TEACHING SPINE

Three movements.

  1. Tradition can preserve truth, but it can also obscure Scripture when left unexamined.
  2. Mature faith asks whether beliefs are rooted in Christ and the Word.
  3. Honoring teachers and family does not require treating every inherited assumption as infallible.
KEEP THE BALANCE

What this teaching must not distort.

Do not frame all tradition as bad. The question is whether tradition serves biblical truth or replaces it.

LAND THE LINE
Do not reject tradition automatically. Test it, keep what is faithful, and follow Jesus above every human inheritance.
Episode completion is saved on this device.
