“Now I know that you fear God because you have not withheld from Me your son your only son.”
Abraham’s test reveals the depth of his obedience. Scripture shows a man willing to surrender the promise God Himself had given. Isaac represented future, legacy, and fulfillment.
Yet Abraham lifted the knife because he trusted God even when obedience felt impossible. A man becomes mature when he refuses to withhold anything from God. Surrender is the true measure of worship.
Abraham learned that God tests not to take but to reveal what rules the heart. God stopped the sacrifice because He never wanted Isaac’s life—He wanted Abraham’s trust. The man who holds nothing back from God becomes the man God can use fully.
Abraham’s obedience wrote a story of faith that echoes through generations.
Father, show me anything I am withholding from You. Give me Abraham’s courage to surrender completely. Teach me to trust You with everything I treasure.
