“Pray continually.”
Paul condenses a profound discipline into two words. Pray continually. Scripture does not suggest constant speaking but constant connection.
Prayer is awareness of God, reliance on God, and conversation with God woven into the rhythm of daily life. A man becomes anchored when prayer moves from an event to a lifestyle. Continual prayer is not forced—it is formed.
It is the reflex of a heart aligned with heaven. Paul understood that life’s pressures require constant communion with God. Prayer becomes the breath of the soul.
A man who prays continually walks in strength the world cannot replicate because he never walks alone.
Father, teach me to live in continuous communion with You. Make prayer my instinct, not my last resort. Keep my spirit connected to Yours throughout every moment.
