“I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.”
Paul does not ask men to earn their calling—only to live worthy of it. Scripture reveals that calling is a gift; worthiness is a response. A man becomes transformed when he aligns his conduct with the identity God has spoken over him.
Worthiness is not perfection. It is consistency. It is choosing integrity when compromise seems easier.
Paul urges believers to walk with humility, patience, and unity because calling demands character. Many men want to fulfill their calling without shaping their conduct, but God forms men through the daily choices that develop spiritual weight. A man lives worthy of his calling when he refuses to separate who he is in public from who he is in private.
Father, help me live in a way that honors the calling You have given me. Shape my conduct to reflect Christ. Strengthen my character daily.
