“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
Paul describes believers as jars of clay—fragile, ordinary, unimpressive. Scripture does not elevate human strength. It elevates God’s.
The treasure is the power within, not the vessel that carries it. A man becomes transformed when he accepts his limitations without surrendering to them. God places His power in fragile men so the world sees the source, not the container.
Paul understood this deeply. His scars, weaknesses, and pressures did not diminish his calling. They magnified God’s presence.
Clay cracks, but treasure remains untouched. A man who understands this stops pretending to be invincible. He allows God to be the strength within his weakness.
God does not need impressive vessels. He uses surrendered ones. Power flows through those who admit their humanity and rely on divine strength rather than personal capacity.
Father, let Your power shine through my weakness. Teach me to depend on You fully. Use my life to reveal Your strength and glory.
