“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.”
God’s promise through Ezekiel is not self improvement. It is heart transformation. Scripture reveals that God does not patch the old heart.
He gives a new one. Men often try to fix their struggles by rearranging habits, but God begins with identity. A new heart means a new center—a reshaping of desires, motives, and responses.
A man becomes changed when God uproots what no longer belongs and plants what reflects His nature. The new spirit is not forced behavior but inward renewal. Ezekiel teaches that God’s transformation begins from the inside out.
What God places in a man becomes stronger than what once controlled him. Renewal is God’s work. Surrender is man’s response.
Father, give me a new heart and renew my spirit. Transform what is within me so that my life reflects You. Change me from the inside out by Your power.
