“Then the fire of the Lord fell.”
1 Kings 18:38 NIV
God answered Elijah’s prayer with consuming fire. Scripture reveals that God displays His power to turn hearts back to Him. The altar, soaked with water, became a stage for divine fire.
A man becomes stirred when he sees that God responds to sincere faith and bold obedience. 1 Kings teaches that God acts in ways that reveal His glory. Elijah stood alone, yet God displayed power unmatched by any false god. A man learns that God’s fire falls upon the surrendered, the obedient, and the faithful.
Fire reveals God’s supremacy.
Father, let Your fire fall upon my life. Consume what is impure. Reveal Your power through my obedience.
