“I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
Genesis 32:26 NIV
Jacob wrestled through the night with God’s messenger. Scripture reveals a man fighting for transformation more than victory. Jacob’s plea was not for favor but for identity.
He would not release God until God changed him. A man becomes transformed when he refuses to let go of God in struggle. Genesis teaches that wrestling with God produces a blessing that comfort never could.
Jacob walked away limping yet changed. His name became Israel. A man learns that God sometimes meets him in struggle to remake him.
Blessing flows from perseverance in the presence of God.
Father, give me the strength to hold onto You in every struggle. Bless me according to Your purpose. Transform my identity through Your presence.
