“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.”
Genesis 2:7 NIV
Scripture reveals that God formed man personally. Dust becomes life when touched by divine breath. A man becomes humble when he remembers he is shaped by God’s hands and sustained by God’s breath.
Formation reveals intention. Breath reveals relationship. Genesis teaches that life originates in God, not nature or accident.
A man learns that his existence is purposeful because God chose to form him uniquely. The breath of life symbolizes dependence. Every moment is sustained by God’s presence.
Man is dust without God and alive with Him.
Father, thank You for forming me with Your hands and giving me life through Your breath. Keep me aware of my dependence on You. Strengthen my devotion each day.
