“Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted He is able to help those who are being tempted.”
Hebrews 2:18 NIV
The writer of Hebrews reveals a powerful truth about Christ’s humanity. Jesus faced temptation and suffering, making Him a compassionate helper. Scripture teaches that Christ understands every struggle a man faces.
A man becomes comforted when he realizes he is not alone in temptation. Jesus knows the weight of pressure and offers strength to overcome. Christ helps not from distance but from experience.
A man learns that he can approach Jesus with honesty because Jesus has walked the path of human weakness. Temptation loses power when a man relies on the One who conquered it.
Father, thank You for the help of Christ. Strengthen me in temptation. Remind me that Jesus understands my struggles and walks with me.
