John the Baptist understood the posture of true greatness. Scripture shows a man who refused to let pride distort his assignment. He knew that Christ’s increase required his decrease.
A man becomes spiritually mature when he embraces humility without resistance. Becoming less does not diminish worth; it deepens purpose. John teaches that a man’s role is to point to Christ, not to himself.
Pride competes with God. Humility aligns with Him. When Christ becomes greater in a man’s life, clarity rises, calling sharpens, and peace strengthens.
Decrease becomes the path to spiritual depth.
Father, make Christ greater in my life. Help me step aside where pride rises. Shape me through humility and devotion.
