“The Sovereign Lord is my strength.”
Habakkuk declares strength in a chapter filled with uncertainty. Scripture shows a prophet who chose faith over fear. The Sovereign Lord is my strength means power rooted in God’s rule, not man’s ability.
Habakkuk’s circumstances did not change, but his confidence did. A man becomes strong when he relies on God’s sovereignty. Strength is not emotional; it is positional.
When a man knows God reigns, fear loses its grip. Habakkuk teaches that strength flows from trust, even when answers remain unseen. God enables men to walk on high places—paths too difficult without divine support.
Strength rises where surrender begins.
Father, be my strength and my stability. Help me trust Your sovereignty. Lift me above fear and give me confidence in Your rule.
