“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before Me in the gap.”
God sought a man who would stand in the gap—a place of intercession, protection, and responsibility. Scripture reveals God’s desire for men who respond to brokenness with courage. The gap is where danger meets weakness.
It is where leadership becomes necessity. A man becomes strong when he steps into places others avoid. Ezekiel’s words show God longing for someone willing to carry spiritual weight.
Standing in the gap means confronting what threatens, praying for what is vulnerable, and guarding what is sacred. It is the posture of a man who refuses to let destruction pass unchallenged. God still seeks men who stand between harm and hope, between sin and restoration, between collapse and rebuilding.
Strength is proven in the gap.
Father, teach me to stand in the gap. Strengthen my heart to protect, pray, and lead with courage. Use me to rebuild what is broken.
