“Remember the Lord who is great and awesome.”
Nehemiah spoke these words when the people grew weary from rebuilding under threat. The task was heavy, the opposition persistent. Yet Nehemiah redirected their focus.
Remember the Lord. Scripture shows that memory fuels courage. A man often loses strength not because the battle is too great, but because he forgets who fights with him.
Nehemiah teaches that recalling God’s greatness restores resolve. The people lifted their eyes from rubble and enemies to the God who had carried them this far. A man learns that remembering God’s character gives strength to keep building when fatigue or fear tries to erode conviction.
Courage grows at the intersection of memory and faith.
Father, help me remember who You are when I grow weary. Strengthen my resolve through the memory of Your greatness. Keep my heart anchored in Your power.
