“You should have struck the ground five or six times.”
2 Kings 13:19 NIV
Elisha rebuked the king for half hearted effort. Scripture reveals that limited passion produces limited victory. The king struck the ground only three times, revealing hesitancy.
A man becomes effective when he engages God’s assignments with zeal. 2 Kings teaches that God honors wholehearted pursuit. A man learns that hesitation restricts what God desires to accomplish through him. God calls men to persistent faith, not minimal obedience.
Victory grows when passion rises.
Father, give me wholehearted devotion. Remove half hearted obedience from my life. Strengthen my commitment to pursue Your purposes fully.
