Joshua instructs Israel near the end of his life. Scripture reveals that love requires intentionality. Be very careful means to guard, to protect, to cultivate.
A man becomes faithful when he watches over his love for God with diligence. Joshua teaches that love can fade if not tended. A man learns that loving God requires constant attention through prayer, obedience, and devotion.
Careful love is mature love. God calls men to guard their affection for Him above all else.
Father, help me guard my love for You. Keep my heart devoted. Strengthen my affection for You each day.
