“Are you for us or for our enemies Neither he replied but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.”
Joshua 5:13 NIV
Joshua encounters a heavenly commander before Jericho. Scripture reveals that God does not take sides. He takes over.
Joshua learns that the true question is not whether God is for him but whether he is aligned with God. A man becomes surrendered when he understands that God’s mission is central and his role is to follow. Joshua teaches that victory begins with alignment under divine authority.
A man learns that God’s presence demands reverence, obedience, and submission. God leads into battle. Man follows.
Father, align my life with Your will. Help me follow Your leadership. Make me obedient to Your command in every battle.
