“Now I know that you fear God because you have not withheld from Me your son your only son.”
Abraham’s willingness to offer Isaac revealed the depth of his devotion. Scripture shows that God sometimes tests loyalty not to harm but to reveal what holds a man’s heart. Abraham trusted God even when the command seemed impossible.
A man becomes surrendered when nothing is withheld from God. Genesis teaches that faith is proven through obedience in moments of sacrifice. Abraham believed that God could restore even if Isaac died.
A man learns that surrender opens the door for God’s provision. God provided a ram because Abraham provided obedience. True fear of God is revealed in what a man refuses to withhold.
Father, help me hold nothing back from You. Give me the faith to trust You in every sacrifice. Strengthen my obedience through surrender.
