“The Lord is patient with you not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.”
Second Peter 3:9 NIV
Peter reveals God’s longing for redemption. Scripture teaches that God’s patience reflects His mercy. He delays judgment because He desires repentance.
A man becomes grateful when he recognizes that God’s patience gave him time to turn. Peter teaches that God desires salvation for all people. Repentance leads to life and freedom.
A man learns that he must reflect God’s patience toward others. God’s heart seeks restoration, not destruction. His patience is a gift and a call to respond with surrender.
Father, thank You for Your patience toward me. Help me walk in repentance each day. Give me a heart that reflects Your mercy toward others.
