“Submit yourselves then to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 NIV
James connects submission with authority. Scripture reveals that a man gains strength over spiritual opposition by first surrendering to God. Submission aligns the heart with God’s will.
Resistance becomes effective because God empowers it. A man becomes victorious when he yields every area of his life to God. James teaches that the one who submits gains divine backing.
The enemy flees because God stands behind the resisting believer. A man learns that true spiritual authority is born from humility before God. Victory flows from surrender.
Father, help me submit fully to You. Strengthen me to resist the enemy. Cover my life with Your authority and presence.
