“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.”
Philippians 2:13 NIV
Paul reveals that God empowers both desire and action. Scripture teaches that a man’s ability to obey comes from God’s inner work. God works in you means transformation is internal before it becomes external.
A man becomes obedient when he allows God to shape his motives and decisions. Paul teaches that God aligns a man’s heart with His purpose, giving both strength and intention. A man learns that he is not left to pursue God on his own.
God supplies the willingness and the power.
Father, work in me to desire Your will. Strengthen me to act according to Your purpose. Shape my heart and my steps through Your power.
