“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.”
Jesus promised His disciples a power that does not come from human energy or personal resolve. Scripture reveals that this power is the presence of the Holy Spirit dwelling within a man. Before the disciples were sent into the world, they were told to wait for what only God could give.
A man becomes effective in God’s calling when he stops relying on his own strength and begins relying on the Spirit. Power from the Spirit is not loud or dramatic. It is steady, wise, and transformative.
The disciples once feared crowds, yet after receiving the Spirit they stood with boldness and clarity. Jesus teaches that strength for ministry, endurance, and obedience comes from the Spirit’s empowering presence. A man learns that the Holy Spirit equips him for what he could never accomplish on his own.
Father, fill me with Your Spirit. Empower me with divine strength. Help me live boldly and faithfully through Your presence within me.
