“Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit.”
Zechariah 4:6 NIV
God spoke these words to Zerubbabel during the overwhelming task of rebuilding the temple. Scripture reveals that divine work cannot be accomplished by human strength alone. A man becomes effective when he relies on God’s Spirit rather than personal force.
Might and power symbolize human ability. God’s Spirit symbolizes divine enablement. Zerubbabel learned that spiritual assignments require spiritual strength.
God levels mountains, opens doors, and completes tasks through the power of His Spirit. A man grows when he stops striving and starts surrendering. Zechariah teaches that God supplies what human strength cannot.
Father, empower me by Your Spirit. Remove my reliance on my own strength. Accomplish through me what only You can do.
