“Break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord.”
Hosea speaks of unplowed ground—places in the heart left untouched, unbroken, and unyielded. Scripture teaches that God calls men to cultivate what has been neglected. Hard ground represents areas where pride, complacency, or stubbornness have settled.
A man becomes renewed when he allows God to break what has grown resistant. Seeking the Lord requires surrendering the hard soil of the heart. Hosea reminds men that growth begins with disruption.
Hard ground cannot produce fruit until it is broken. God uses conviction, truth, and His Spirit to soften a man and prepare him for new life. Seeking God becomes fruitful when the heart is open and pliable.
Father, break up the hard places within my heart. Make me receptive to Your truth. Help me seek You with a renewed and tender spirit.
