“But David found strength in the Lord his God.”
David faced one of the darkest moments of his leadership. Scripture records grief, anger, and rejection surrounding him. His own men spoke of stoning him.
Yet David turned inward and upward—he found strength in God. A man becomes unshakeable when his strength comes from a source untouched by circumstance. David did not rely on public support or emotional stability.
He anchored himself in God’s presence. Strength found in God is not adrenaline; it is alignment. It is remembering who God is when everything else collapses.
David teaches that emotional chaos does not define a man when he knows where to turn. In crisis, he did not fall apart. He fell to his knees.
That is where strength begins.
Father, help me find my strength in You. Lift me when discouragement surrounds me. Anchor my heart in Your faithfulness when I feel overwhelmed.
