DAY 17 OF 365

Mercy: Love That Lifts

Verse
“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”
Matthew 5:7 NIV
Devotional

Mercy is compassion in motion. The good Samaritan crossed the road while others debated the cost. Mercy acts because gratitude remembers its own rescue.

We deserved judgment but received grace; therefore we extend it. The Spirit births mercy in hearts that see people, not problems. When the church forgets mercy, it loses its witness.

Jesus called His followers to be salt and light; mercy preserves and illuminates. Leaders shaped by mercy correct without cruelty and restore without shame. Mercy is not ignoring sin—it’s offering healing instead of humiliation.

Every time we forgive or serve quietly, heaven notices.

Prayer

Father, let mercy flow through me today. Help me see others through the lens of Your compassion. Make me quick to forgive and ready to serve. Amen.
