“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”
Humility invites elevation. The proud grasp; the humble receive. Jesus knelt to wash feet before He went to the Cross—heaven’s greatest authority stooped to serve.
The Spirit births humility when we remember grace. Pride compares; gratitude adores. Every fall in Scripture began with self-exaltation; every revival began with surrender.
The church at Thyatira was warned against arrogance that tolerated sin. Leaders who stay low stay usable. Humility doesn’t think less of self; it thinks of self less.
In that posture, God entrusts more influence because He can trust the motives behind it.
Lord, keep my heart low before You. Let every success point upward, not inward. Teach me to lead from the towel, not the throne. Amen.
Humility attracts heaven’s help—serve first, and God will lift you in His time.
