“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
Gratitude is both entrance and evidence—how we come before God and how we show we’ve met Him. Every fruit of the Spirit ripens where thankfulness grows. When Israel forgot the Lord’s benefits, joy withered and idols replaced intimacy.
Thankfulness re-centers the soul on the Giver rather than the gift. It turns repentance into renewal, duty into delight. Even in suffering, Paul and Silas sang, proving that praise can shake prison walls.
Gratitude is leadership of perspective: it chooses to see grace in the ordinary. The mature believer thanks God not for all things but in all things, trusting His unseen purpose.
Lord, make thanksgiving my default posture. Remind me that every breath is mercy and every moment a chance to praise You. Amen.
Gratitude keeps the heart young and the vision clear—thankful leaders never lose hope.
